Drove back to NW Coastal highway, and back to Carnarvon.
Learned about the trade of canvas making as an Australian bloke in
traditional attire (short shorts and sleeveless shirt) fixed our tent’s zipper
(an Australian woman also helped dressed in the same manner).
Drove a long way.
Ate lunch by a bathroom, in the company of flies—we were really
desperate for shade.
Began our 24 hours of Thanksgiving! Nutella and bananas to start.
Crossed the Tropic of Capricorn!
Allie was super excited.
Arrived in Coral Bay and set up camp.
Shopped for Manta Ray tours.
Made our Thanksgiving dinner, followed by apple pie. The instant stuffing mix was not a success,
but the no-bake vegetarian shepherd’s pie was delicious!
Ate Tim-Tams and chocolate in the tent (it was Thanksgiving!)
Went to bed on time (9 pm)
